I have been looking into purchasing a copy of the Allman Brothers Live at the Fillmore on vinyl.

It appears that there is a Universal release (on 180g) and a Classic Records release (also on 180g). One is about $25 and the other is around $40.

I haven't heard either release and wonder if anyone has experience with this particular album in terms of which version is the one to snag. I would prefer the cheaper one but will suck it up if the Classic Records remaster is better. TIA!

I really like the Classic Records remastering system. I like their "DAD" of I, Robot better than any of Alan Parsons', that should tell you something.

I say: dew et. Based entirely on reputation. They're like a cheaper version of XRCD.

I'd say go for the cheaper one. I've never bought any Classic Record release, but I can't imagine them being twice as quality.
