Hello,
I currently have a pico slim amp paired with miracle iems. I would like to improve this setup... Which step should I take then: purchase a clas dac, or would it be preferable to go balanced with sr71b or another balanced amp ?

If you're going balanced, use the MK3b from ALO Audio.
 
Personally I'm against going balanced and upgrading the source chain IMO would be a better upgrade than upgrading the amp.  
 
Going balanced has been discouraged by several professionals (you can find the thread on head-fi) and while there are benefits, they come with costs.  It's your choice whether or not it's worth it.  Especially if not using a portable balanced source from a place like iBasso.

Thanks for your answer...well then...the problem would be in these terms , I guess: is the clas an upgrade worth the 570$ expense, considering also the lesser battery life I heard about, the bulkiness and of course, the cost...
