I have been messing about with the new chromecast audio and must say its pretty impressive costs £25/£30,Packed into the small device is an AKM AK4430 DAC that supports Hi-Res Audio up to 24-bit/96KHz.I have connected it to AK120 Titan(optical input) and streamed spotify, deezer ect onto the Titan, ive just hooked it up to mojo via optical and other headphone amps via there line in and streaming has been great with good sound, optical having the better sq,this little gizmo even drives all of my full size headphones straight from its output no amp nothing, volume is controlled by the app,it honestly puts my new pioneer xdp to shame.
Has anyone else been messing about with it?Oh and I almost forgot I think it was meant to hook up to your stereo system, not tried that yet,I just plug into a portable powerbank and use it on the go!Still looking for smallest powerful one out there!

How do you EQ the CCA signal source?

It looks like Google has no intent to add EQ software to the CCA device and controller software within the Chromecast app ;(

Bummer, there was so much promise for CCA streaming to self-powered monitor speakers, component power amps, headphones, and earbuds :frowning2:

Code:
Chromecast Audio was designed to provide streaming content from the service provider. Processing of that content is not part of the feature set. Chromecast Audio is designed to feed audio systems of a very broad variety, across a wide range of user tastes, and many of those provide their own post-processing feature sets. Chromecast Audio was not intended to provide redundant capabilities in that regard.

I guess we can ask the question why google play music still doesn't have EQ built in
