Needless to say, I am very happy at the moment. Comfiest headphones I've owned yet, too! (the HE60 was my previous favourite)

Now just to wait one more week for the Aristaeus, so I can listen to this badboy.

Wow. Most impressive.

I must say, that's an odd combination. Not just because it's electrostatic headphones and a dynamic amp, either.

In all seriousness, the Gilmore Lite is a great sounding unit (I own one and love it.) It's the Little Amp That Could, but it's an entry level model. The HE90s are the headphones that scare the 800lb gorilla.

Their legendary sound quality and great rarity lead to them being spoken of in hushed tones of reverence here on head-fi (and anywhere else). Generally, anyone who has the means (and the luck!) to get a pair of HE90s would opt for a dynamic amp slightly higher up the foodchain (like, say, a SinglePower.) I'm curious, what caused you pick the humble little amp like the GLite?

I ordered them in April when Justin e-mailed me and said that he had a black GLite in the works. I planned to use it as a bedside rig when I ordered it, and I may still go that route now, but it is unlikely. I have not decided what to do with the GLite yet, but it sounds very very nice with the HD650s, so I may have to rethink my original plans.

Wow, incredibly beautiful. I can't help but notice that the camera you're using to take the pictures is also incredibly clear. What camera are you using anyway?

Once again, enjoy those beautiful toys of yours!
