Hello!
It's an honor for me to be part of the Head-Fi forum, it's been my everyday reading since a year so far :)
I didn't find any topic related to my following issue.

I have setted up the following chain: mojo 2 > A90 > Hifiman Arya V2
Mojo 2 is connected trough a 3,5 to RCA cable.

If i put the mojo in low gain mode, volume all down, I can't get any kind of signal out of the amp.

The only way to get audio out of this chain is putting mojo at hi gain (green lights), A90 at high gain, volume knob all the way up (loosing some quality as well)! It doesn't make sense...

The only low quality piece of the chain is the 3,5 to RCA cable, I've ordered a new audioquest one but it hasn't arrived yet. Could this huge loss of signal be related to this cable?

The A90 is just arrived brand new so I don't know if it is working as it should.

By the way, I thought to set up this chain becouse I really like the mojo 2 DAC performance and would be amazing to amplify its signal properly.

Thanks for any help!

Federico

Update: The new 3,5 to RCA cable arrived, apart from clear improvement in sound quality nothing change regarding the volume. It seems that the topping a90 gain over the mojo 2 source is really poor.
The topping A90 setted at high gain, volume knob at 2pm, has the same volume as the chord mojo 2 output (A/B tested connecting the headphone to the 2nd mojo 2 headphone output). So the gain left on the topping A90 would be a little bit more than one quarter turn.

Thanks for any help!

Federico

Over your current setup? No. Your current setup is excellent. Is there something you feel is lacking?

But, if you have the disposable income to afford it easily and just want to check it out, sure, go ahead.
