Don't worry about heat, they don't get that warm and nothing to fear about the electronics.
I think that the case that engulfs both of them is a must because it is very easy to accidentally break the connectors.
honestly I wouldn't say that they don't heat, during the hot season in Italy, both the Mojo 2 and the Poly become very hot when they are in operation, even while charging, I have to plug them into a socket in the basement of my house which usually stays slightly longer fresh from the higher floors. No problem however during the cold season.

Mine also get very warm during Greek summer (30⁰ inside my room) but I don't think that performance gets affected.

Hello guys?

Is it worth do you believe to pay for mojo 2 or it would be good enough to check something like Hiby FC6?

Does anyone have them both?

My headphones are HD600 and K701

Thanks for all!

Hiby FC6 will have a different sound compared to Mojo2. You may prefer one or the other, but I have no doubt that Mojo2 will be technically superior to FC6 as it was tier above against any USB dongle that I've tried. HD600 is quite power hungry to be driven close to it's full potential and Mojo2 is better choice in this case.

I love dongles, but they are not optimal for headphones like HD600.

Thank you for the help, I read about the analog sound of Hify and as I read Mojo 2 is not in that direction. But I am afraid I will miss the help of a bigger soundstage that HD600 have not but I beleve thes headphones love the analog "tube" sound.

So a bit confused.. and I do not know the synergy between HD600-Mojo 2.

And I need something portable and not desktop like. So I was looking for a dongle or the mojo 2 which as I read looks promising but a bit expensive and sized.

Ηχος, my friend I believe I need some guidance here!

Thank you
What guidance? For me the case is an absolute must. Once I was so close to accidentally break the connectors that I never get the Mojo + Polly stack, out of the case. Never!!

What's the point of chasing analog sound if FC6 will not drive HD600 to it's full potential and most likely end up sounding flat. You can EQ with Mojo2 and add crossfeed to make HD600 sound warmer.

However if you really want more analog sound in stock form Mojo1 is your best bet. You should be able to snatch a good deal in used market and battery is easy to replace if needed. I regret selling Mojo1 and the only downside was no desktop mode for me.

It's not the performance that worries me but the battery which could be damaged at too high temperatures.
This summer was the first summer with my Mojo Poly and when I felt it very hot while charging, I unplugged everything, waited for it to cool down and put it back on charge in a cooler place.
This summer in Italy the heat really put us to the test and I think it was the same in nearby Greece too and in moments of more intense heat, I turned it off to avoid damaging the battery

Well, I am not sure about how temperature affects battery lifespan.

Well, I am not sure about how temperature affects battery lifespan.
I was not referring to the life of the battery in general but to its deterioration and consequently a shorter duration over time, the increase in temperature accelerates the electrochemical reaction inside the batteries, making the self-discharge phenomenon more rapid, with the consequence that the device will need increasingly frequent recharging

In such cases maybe someone should not use the case but he must be very careful when handling the Mojo - Poly combination. The connection point is very fragile.

This is true, I also have the Mojo Poly case and I was annoyed by the idea of having to use it without it, but without it it probably would have reached lower temperatures

Maybe chord should also give us some guidance about safe operation temperatures, especially with/without case.

Not like Hugo2/2go, It's hard to be confident on mojo2/poly connecting mechanism without a case.

None of you all have the new iPhone 15 Pro models obviously..........they get HOT, my Mojo 2 doesn't get hot, warm but not hot whatsoever. If you are using it outside then use a lighter colored cover to reflect some of that heat instead of absorbing it like a black aluminum shell will do naked. I use the Green leather Miter case with my MJ2/Poly and it stays at a temperature I am comfortable with, again my iPhone 15 Pro Max on the other hand gets hot to the touch when charging and on calls 🤯.
