I've tried searching this thread for answers to my questions, but with limited success. Any help would be appreciated!
I recently got off the 2go boat and got myself a Bluesound Node 2i for streaming*. The Node has (bit perfect) digital coax out, and the Hugo 2 has digital coax in. Great, I thought and ordered a Blue Jean Cable coax cable. Though one end fits the Node fine (RCA plug), the other end does not fit the Hugo 2 coax in. It seems the H2 needs a 3.5mm coax plug.
Any recommendations on a good RCA to 3.5mm adapter? I've seen a few on Amazon (like this: Monoprice 107146 3.5mm Mono Plug to RCA Jack Adaptor, Gold Plated). But they typically state that they are mono rather than stereo. Given that the cable carries binary data, is this an issue?
*If you are curious, I chose to get the Buesound because: (a) I can connect it to an external hard drive, which is a lot cheaper thank microsd storage (I use a 5tb hard drive, which I sync with my ripped CDs on Google cloud storage); (b) the Buesound is a lot cheaper than the 2go, and (3) the H2, being asynchronous, can minimize digital noise, if any, in the input from ANY reasonably constructed digital source
