I was thinking about building a couple of the Sijosae buffers

I see about a dozen variations of the bc327 transistor on Mouser.com. all to-92. Some are just bulk vs. reel. So let's narrow it to just the bulk package, and there's still 6 from Fairchild and one from Vishay.

I see 3 Hfe grades, 16, 25 and 40. Which Hfe would be best for audio buffers? (just to drive average 50 to 300 Ohm headphones)

What other specs should I pay attention to? The data sheet isn't clear are what the other differences are (or I'm missing it). Like, what's the differene between the 15 cent BC32725 and the 6 cent BC32725BU? (both Hfe 160 class)

I decide to post a new thread instead of in the project thread because I'm hoping for general enough information to be able to apply it to other projects as well.

Each one will probably sound different.
I have two diamond buffers for a millet hybrid, each having different transistors, each sounding different.
I dunno which hfe is better for the sijosie buffer, maybe you can socket them and try more than one.
