Hello all, fresh to this forum so I hope I'm in the right section.  I have been browsing for a pair of headphones for a couple of weeks now, I've narrowed my choice down to the following:

Harman/Kardon CL Precision
Koss over ear Pro DJ100
Nvx XPT100
Philips M1/00 Premium
Denon Urban Raver AH_D320

The Nvx XPT100 would have to be imported as I am in the UK. I am using a Samsung Ativ-s Phone and a Sansa Clip to listen to my tunes on the go.  My tastes this past few months are The Knife, College and Dethklock. Any advice would be appreciated.

Look also at the Fisher FA-003, Lindy HF-100, and Brainwavz HM5. These are the same cups and drivers as the XPT100 (so same sound) because one manufacturer makes them all and then they are rebranded. Could be one will be cheaper than the XPT100. You can learn more by researching in these threads:

The ES-FC300 do have a very nice sound and would be more portable than the FA-003/NVX/HM5 headphones. I thought Innerfidelity's review did a nice job of describing them: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/delightful-onkyo-es-fc300-and-es-hf300
