I know that some have already asked if the adapter as such will affect the sound quality.
(e.g. http://www.head-fi.org/t/647155/do-6-3mm-to-3-5mm-adapters-degrade-the-sound-quality)
And I agree that there shouldn't be a difference, at least not an audible one, if the adapter is not an extremely cheap one.

But how much is not "cheap" in this regard? For example, the Furutech has some fancy adaptor priced from $40 to $50. It appears to be an overkill for a adapter for me.

At what price range that such a adapter present a good quality?

Thanks.
