Hi, I've been reading some reviews and have concluded on these 5 headphones to be the best options. I listen to mainly hard rock, normal rock , symphonic rock , jazz , rap and others. I am looking for something that sounds better than my Sony MDR-XD200, also that is portable and durable. Here go the options:

1- JVC HA-M750 "Black Series"
2- Panasonic RP-HT660-S
3-Beyerdynamic DT235
4- Sennheiser HD 428
5- Superlux 668b

As you see these aren't expensive headphones, so if you are going to recommend another pair it should be under the $50 mark or slightly over it.

Thank You for your answers

What will be driving these cans is important to your decision, as well as whether or not you are using and amp.  You also need to determine whether or not you need a closed can or if an open or semi-open one will work for you.  A good place to start is the buying guides linked here:

The guides will, in turn, link you to reviews of the cans listed in the guides.
