ChiFi Replica/Knockoff Amps?

I didn't see these posted and thought they were worthy of a headfi discussion. Clearly the original amps were purchased by Chinese producers and reverse engineered then offered at a fraction of the price.

There are the ethical perspective on how we feel as consumers seeming hifi gear poached in such an obvious way and if we feel comfortable purchasing products with such deceitful production processes. There is also the concern if you live in the West are these safe to use without starting a fire or frying your HPs due to lack of protection? Would you also be willing to be 30-40% of the original product's MSRP knocking that you may receive little to no warranty support?

I Wouldn't be surprised Violectric outsources their stuff to China to be built. Once in China manufacturing hands, it's easy to make a exact replica.
The prices aren't that great either, considering there is no resell value to them & they sell for what the real ones probably do in the second hand market.
