That was pretty cool. I used to rip on a lot of M60s in the military, but then I became concerned about my hearing and decided to stay away and stick with small firearms.

By the way Wakeride74, I wouldn't mind you lending me that AR15 so I can go hunt some bear on Kodiak Island.

That's why you need a good set of IEM's while unloading round after round

lol

I just pulled those pics off my Photobucket to make room but you'd probably need all 30 rounds for those big boys... I'd recommend an M107 .50 it would not budge after one shot with that!

Yeah, that looks impressive until you see an A10 in action. Something you need to consider, you're only seeing the tracers in most of those shots and I think a standard aircraft load has tracers every seventh round.

It's curiously pretty when it's coming in your general direction.

I was for a moment thinking the door gunner footage was using some sort of cannibalised spare but the Apache carries the single-barreled M230. Most of the footage looks like an M134 to me.

What Branch?

I was an M60 MG,used it and loved it. Did you name yours? Mine was Linda and she was a screamer until her barrel over-heated one too many times.

You only went around with one barrel? All our light machine gunners (Negev and MAG) had to go around with a spare barrel. Even the Browning team carried an extra barrel.

That's the point. Who wants to kill a great beast in one shot? You need all 30 rounds to saver the moment.

In that case you'd better just go with the 110 round drum, should be fine especially if you are used to the barrel overheating already

Funny you should mention that, I was just watching Mail Call and they did a piece on the A10, that thing is badass!
