A few days ago, I saw a thread that mentioned someone getting a pair of new HD595s for $160 from an online vendor. Does anyone know where to obtain these headphones for a similar price? Thanks.

Cheapest I've ever seen them from a reliable dealer is $180 from newegg a couple weeks ago.

There's an Amazon marketplace mechant selling them for the same price right now, but I can't vouch for their reliability.

shipping is $15 though wich brings them up to par with newegg

so you may want to consider buying them through newegg, cheap shipping and great shipping

I found that doing a price search on froogle.com. They stick it to you on the shipping though - $15.

the 555 uses same driver as the 497 while 595 uses 650's driver. you got ripped off big time

Well it is $70 less than the 595. One should expect a significant performance dropoff for that much less.
