I'm looking to order some SR60's( hoped I could find used but I haven't yet{kinda broke} ) And If I get new ones they will defiantly come with comfies.(i can't afford both new sr60s+ bowls) >__>

Another note, anyone have bowls they do not use that they would be willing to send me(ill pay shipping)

How about you wait a bit, save up enough money to buy the sr80s (w/ bowls?)

x2 on that...

for $17.95 + $5.58 S&H Amazon has these

a new pair of sr60s is probably going to be around $70 while a new pair of sr80s is going to be $95.

So.....

Grado sr60s $70.00 + Bowl Pads $23.53 = $93.53

Grado sr80s = $95.00

Note that these are approximate prices.....and that I haven't shopped around for the best prices on pads...you may be able to find bowls for much cheaper than this.....but If not I would vote for getting the sr80s

I figured I'd order from Todd. with the 10 dollar discount thats pretty good.

I have 76 bucks in my account. But If I add 6 more I can get SR80 withs the discount( come to 82 free ship with discount)

But do the 80's have better bass/ sound quality than that of the sr60's?
Or would the sr60's benefit more from me spending the extra money on a fiio amp.

I have not tried the sr60s, however it seems that most people would agree that the sr80s have better bass. They sound good to me....although they are not what I would call "bassy"

I have no experience with headphone amps....however, from what I've read you probably will not experience a great change in sound quality by amping lower end headphones such as the sr60...and even sr80.....with that said....headphone.com has this in their description of the Grado sr80s:

"If you happen to be using a dedicated/portable headphone amp and would like to take a slight step up in Grado sound quality from the entry-level SR60 model, you could maybe try the SR80."

implying that the sr80s may sound better amped......so idk....but I'm guessing that you would get more of an upgrade in sound quality with the sr80s over amping the sr60s..

Just my 2 cents.
