What would honestly be the best solution? a pre-amp, like a "Lepai", or a Stereo Receiver, on Craigslist :3

Let me throw around a few links, and you guys let me know wacha think.. (Note, I am on a tight, tight budget, so I am just trying to work with what I got right now, to enjoy listening to music on some speakers...) I do plan on using my 6Ohm Panasonic Speakers, unless I could do something like this: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/ele/3492081044.html

Okay, I guess I can't really find much on Craigslist today lol... Well the first link wouldn't be to bad to just have something to dick around with aye? Just want something that works, and can project sound, without sounding like balls.

First link is down, on the two receivers - while that Sansui *could* be great, it could also be a maintenance/reliability nightmare. The Panny was also sold as a higher-up (ish) Technics AVR like ten years ago, not terrible; has a fan though.

Anyways, quick look at the Focusrite website - the 2i2 can actually be your preamp, so you just need active monitors or a power amplifier for your speakers. Power amplifier wise, is something like the Audiosource Amp100 out of the question? Would give you trim controls, and hook up to the 2i2 and into the speakers no problem. :)
