OR: How two parts of my life overlap in a weird way.
Ok, so today I had trouble with my ps3 getting warm and freezing up (it's hot in the mid atlantic today), which got my brain working on a way to elevate it off it's shelf to help with air flow. After some time of poking around on the internet for some ideas, it hit me, SPIKES! I used to be a full on mohawked punk kid 12 years ago, which came with a wealth of spikes that I would screw on to jackets, wrist bands and the like, luckily I didn't throw them out. So I grabbed three, placed them in a triangle under my ps3, it's been running just fine ever since, was it because I elevated the ps3? Eh who knows, but it made me realize that these things are dirt cheap compared to the spikes you order from audio websites. So I thought I'd pass it on to everyone here.
I used to order from this place: http://www.studsandspikes.com/ plenty of different heights, widths, colors and styles. There's tons of other sites you can order from, I've just always found them to be the cheapest.
