Cheap portable USB DAC, for netbook

   Cheap seems to be word of alienation around here, yet I still a cheap one. The matter is my outdoor environments are not quite gadget safe so I need something expendable.  and I don't expect a supreme quality. I'm looking for something nearly decent as my sansa clip+.
 
Linux support is preferred.
Too much sound is not needed(will drive superlux hd681 and sr80i)
A nice case is preferred.
 
I did a forum search and found too many informative threads, but most of the dac links seems dead. Need some fresh advice. Thanks

I often use a y1 with my netbook and I love it. I don't have too much to compare it with SQ wise, but it's certainly an improvement over the netbook's headphone jack. I think the hammond cases are pretty rugged. Like I said I tote mine around frequently. You can make it yourself if you like diy or have one made for less than $100 (cost varies on configuration). Of course if you want an amp built in...
