There are koa speer 1% resistors at $.03 each at mouser here. This seems like a really good deal, but I may be missing something. From the datasheets, the only difference I could find between those and their $.16 brothers was the "TCR" is 100 vs. 50 in the 16 cent ones. I'm not too sure what TCR stands for, maybe involving tempurature and coefficient? Anyways, I'm just looking for advice as to whether these would be suitable for use in projects.

I did a quick google, and it seems like it represents the change in resistance with regards to temperature. I'm assuming lower is better.

Yeah, the lower the temp coefficient the better, so these aren't as good as, say, Vishay-Dale RN55s. But for a headphone amp, temperature related resistance change is rarely an issue. I doubt that you'd be able to measure any difference under normal operating conditions, nor actually hear a difference.
