Hi all,

I am from Argentina, where technology is very expensive. I am flying to the US, so it is my opportunity to buy a pair of IEM to use everyday from home to work. I want to buy something compliant with:

Budget: < $40
Usage: public transportation
Music style: Trance (Tech, Psy).
Fit: comfortable

I have been searching on forums and I was trying to decide between JVC HA-FX101, SoundMAGIC E10, Sennheiser CX300 II (Enhanced Bass) and VSONIC GR02 Bass. But I'm not close to other models.

Thanks in advance :)

Great post, I'll check it out.

I find deals on Logitech Ultimate Ears.  I got the 500vi for $20 and the 600vi for $35.  Nether are amazing, but both are very good.

Have you had any problems with the cords? It seems it has a poor build quality.

I had problems with one of my 500vi but Logitech replaced it w/o any problems.

I have 2 pairs of their 200vi that didn't have any problems and I just toss them in my pocket or bag and the 600vi has had no problems and I just put them in my pocket every day.

Get the newly released SE112 for only $49. I haven't heard them yet, but I've owned/own every other Shure model, to the SE535's (unfortunately no SE846 yet though), and can say that the 2 year warranty and the build quality from Shure is among the best out there. If the SE112's sound like anything Shure's released before, they should be a great value.

Otherwise, the UE 600 or UE 600vi can be found on sale often for <$40.

Well I'd recommend you to stay away from CX 300-IIs . I have a these headphones and I can say that they are not really worth the price.Other IEMs you listed are way better than CX 300-IIs.
