I posted something similar a while ago, but have decided to open up the options a bit. I was looking for a portable player that would let my wife timeshift radio shows. Being a geek I wanted it to do OGG as well, which seemed to narrow the choice down to certain iRiver models e.g. iFP-790. I'm having difficulty finding one of those within my budget of about UKP50.

There seem to be hundreds of flash players around that price offering 512MB or more, but gnerally only MP3/WMA formats. That's probably adequate for her needs. So can any of these do timed recordings? I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible for her or I'll just get complaints.

Any recommendations for units available in the UK?
