How about this PenguinAmp.com -.
It's really good for the money! I owned one until I bought a Corda 2 Move (+ or - 3,5 X expensive!).

I ended up getting SR60s. How would that pair with the PPA2V2?

The PAVA2 works smashingly with SR60s. I've driven a variety of things with mine, including a 150ohm Sennheiser PXC450 that it handles perfectly.

I'm using my SR60 with HD414 pads with my XXS and iRiver H300 at the moment, and its a brilliant combination. I can't believe how much difference pads can make!

Anyway, how would the PA2V2 compare to the XXS?

There is no comparison, IMO. The PA2V2 sounds muddy and lacks detail/resolution, while the XXS/Headsix sounds pretty good.

Maybe the PA2V2 helps driving somewhat demanding cans on really wimpy audio players but if you have a decent player the PA2V2 most likely makes the sound worse.

FWIW; both my 300 Ohm HD650 and my 80 Ohm DT770 sound better directly from the Cowon D2 than from the PA2V2.
