I've been getting increasingly pissed at my current ADC Model 16/2R (never heard of em? They used to make phono cartidges!!!) and I really want to buy a new CD Player for $150 tops (preferably new but used is okay)...any recommendations?

My current equipment includes a Sennheiser HD580 and Musical Fidelity X-Cans v2.

Thanks a lot

Try and find a used Denon DCM-370, should be a bit under your price range and it seems to be the entry level player of choice around here.

If your current cd player has a coax digital output, you may also want to consider the ART DI/O dac, which is around $123+shipping from fullcompass.com. It's output is 7v though (standard line level output is 2v), so you may have attenuate the signal if it's too loud.
