I honestly can't agree with this. It's more about what one does with a transducer rather than this or that material on its cone. In most cases I'd pick paper over Kevlar easily.

Speakers with aluminum woofers would be my recommendation. They tend to have deeper sub-bass, can tolerate louder volumes and yet will last longer.
