Works fine because all USB devices are powered by the same voltage. I use the AC to USB adaptor of my old broken ipod photo to power my zune 30, hehe

Eh, the Zune is picky I have a generic USB charger and it doesn't work (works with other mp3 players), but the specialty Zune charger works. I don't know what the difference is, but no matter what it shouldn't destroy your device.

Not all wall USB chargers work. While all do have the same voltage, some seem to require an additional pin connection or other input.

Basically I have a Zune 80 and tried two seperate USB wall chargers and neither would work. The Zune never went to charge mode. One was a generic charger with 300mA rating, another a Kodak camera with a 1A rating.

I believe any charger designed for iPod will work however. I bought a "music power duo" from Walmart, and it worked fine.

I' charge my Zune 120 w/an iPod usb charger all the time, it just takes a bit longer. The Zune charger is rated @5v, 1.5a. The iPod charger is 5v, 500-600mah (depending on the brand). I just wouldn't recommend using the Zune charger on an iPod is all.

Don't see why it should not, as USB have standardized voltage.
As long as you have an appropriate cable to hook it up.
