My Stax SR-202, fairly new, has suddenly developed a channel imbalance. Definitely the phones and not the amplifier or source.
Is there a quick fix for that, or do I need to buy a Stax amp with dual volume controls?

Nature of the electrostats unfortunately. 

  Common issue that does pop up from time to time. For many users the imbalance does disappear with more use. Some have reported success with leaving the headphones plugged in with music playing for many hours.
