Hello,
I have read here that you should check with a multimeter to know where to put each "strand" of the cable on the green chip, however I don't have a multimeter and don't know how to use it anyway, so can I just put them where he puts them, https://old.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/7zvbbm/help_needed_cable_placement_on_dt770_pro/ he has the same model of dt770 and a cable with the same color as mine, so it should be fine right ?

Thank you for your time.

Get a cheap continuity tester. A multimeter is huge overkill if all you want to do is recable headphones.

Do not test continuity across the drivers. You will burn them. Use it on the cable itself when it is not connected.
