I currently have my setup the same as in this thread for XP 32bit

http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f46/ch...r-08-a-230506/

But my problem is that i cannot play anything above 48khz, I am currently using ASIO4ALL and winamp. I am currently using the toslink out from the soundcard to my DAC.

My setup is as follows,

Chaintech AV-710 --> Citypulse DA7.2x II ---> Meier Audio - Cordia Arietta --> AKG K701

The thread you linked to is only for 44.1/48khz material. You need to select HI Sample Rate 2 in the control panel to passthrough 96khz through SPDIF.
I can pass 96khz material fine to my receiver using Foobar2000/Kernel Streaming via SPDIF.

Does Winamp support high-res files? What's the sample rate of the files you're playing? Is S/PDIF output enabled in the Audio Deck (you may need to enable it again once you've changed to Hi-Sample Rate)?
