I just bought a Chaintech AV-710. I set it up following the advice given in this forum (drivers, control panel settings, etc...) but my audio applications keep reporting that the Chaintech can only go up to 96kHz. I am using a Dell Dimension 8250, running Windows XP. The main applications I use are Nuendo 2 and Wavelab 5. I also installed the ASIO4All program as well, to get the ASIO driver for the Chaintech. Am I doing something wrong?

The channel 7/8 DAC on the AV-710 (the high quality one) is only a 24/96 DAC so it won't do 24/192 without first downsampling to 24/96 (and ASIO doesn't allow that).

AC'97 (WXP, et. al.) will not allow >96KHz.
