I doubt they will revise the hd800 rather then introduce a new model they wouldn't upgrade a headphone with better materials unless it made a sonic difference.

Everything I have read on engadget and what not is pretty boring so far this year.

This year was a boring show indeed. The new thing this year was 3D, I thought it was a complete headache. I think this may have been due to the fact that a lot of the 3D content was just a remake of the 2D version. The technology has potential, as long as it is done properly (eg. Avatar).

I also got a chance to hear the Sennheiser+Adidas earphones. They sounded really tinny and were pretty terrible.


Actually there was something cool at the show this year. I parked at the Venetian to see the audio exhibits and saw a bunch of scantily clad pr0nstars from the AVN Expo.

I think 3D is a fad and I believe my local high end video/audio stores will most likely not buy into the 3D hype unless there is more software that supports 3D.

This product sounds promising, but it is wireless so I'm not too sure:
