Have been doing a bit of survey on suitable DACs with USB below $500 for a headphone setup.

Have looked into some budget DACs which include HRT Streamer II+, Schiit, Rega DAC, Cambridge Audio DAC Plus, Musical Fidelity V-DACII, Arcam rPAC and couple more but narrowed down to the models below which received good reviews and/or strong recommendations.

1) Beresford TC-7520SEG
2) Centrance DACPort LX (mobile)
3) iBasso DB2 (mobile)

Has anybody used or compared any of these DACs? Which is the best bang for the buck DAC that offers the best performance for the money? The thing is although the DACPort LX received good reviews, it looks like a toy next to the Beresford. Pictures below.

Beresford - a full-sized DAC in standard casing

DACPort LX - the pic is enlarged but in real life it will look like a miniature toy next to the Beresford

I have also read some comments(over here) that the iBasso DB2 is inferior sounding to the DACPort LX.

I am well aware that all this is subjective and differences may be minimal but would appreciate if someone who has experience with these DACs could rate them in order of sound quality, performance or preference. From words of mouth, it appears that the order is as below.

Beresford TC-7520SEG > Centrance DAC PortLX > iBasso DB2

Any thoughts appreciated.
