Cen.Grand DSDAC 1.0 Deluxe - ending point in my search for a new reference

Can be connected to a monitor.

Currently, I have purchased and connected another monitor. When I first set it up, it was uncomfortable and my eyes hurt because I didn't have another monitor. Other than some inconveniences, it satisfies me with its great combination with dsdac 1.0 Deluxe.

I have no hum, nothing. As soon as I got the Deluxe, I opened the case and tightened the screws on the transformers so that they were tight.

Personally, I do not recommend it if you want convenience. The basic settings may be difficult for those who are not familiar with Windows 10 settings. The small default screen is also inconvenient. Also, in an environment where the pow system cannot be used, competitiveness is considered to be low. However, I think it sounds great with the dsdac available on the pow system.

What sort of settings did you have to mess with? Just out of curiosity as I don't have mine yet. I figured it would be relatively plug and play at least for most DACs, is that not the case?

The screen size seems to be on par with other streaming devices so I'm not too worried about that. The main purpose is to see artist and track info along with album art, anything beyond that usually needs an external monitor or tablet control anyway.

When you mention competitiveness being low without the POW system, what are you referring to? Sorry I don't quite get the meaning there. Are you talking about using it via BNC, coax, AES, or other connection? Did you not have good results from those?

Please understand that the expressions are simple when using a translator.

1. If you use jriver and roon, it can be played right away even in the default settings. Since I use tidal as its own app, there was no sound when playing music with the tidal app in the default settings. It has been resolved now, but it took some time.

2. It is good to use an external monitor, but When I first received it, it was a bit inconvenient because there was no connection cable, and I thought it would be a bit inconvenient if it was difficult to connect to an external monitor.

3. I think GLD is one of the best players I have ever experienced. In all connection methods of hifirose's rs130 that I compared, the gld produced much better sound. However, the friends that I compared it with said that the rs130 is much more convenient to use, so wouldn't it be a little disappointing if I couldn't use pow? He said, and I borrowed that and wrote it. The pow system exceeded my expectations.

Yes, both outputs are available together. I have 2 different amps connected one to RCA and the other to XLR and I use both at the same time.

I changed some of my rigs in 2024, and DSDAC still remain please me nicely till now, paired with Feliks Envy Performance and Raal 1995 Immanis.

Should somebody be looking for a like new DSDAC Deluxe 1.0... there is a new listing in the classified section.

It belongs to a close friend of mine. We bought it together from the official Italian dealer OZsound. It is in like new condition, complete with everything and he is selling it for only 3000 euros, over 50% off for an outstanding dac. Of course it is 220v so only for European users. Stratospheric deal as my friend is really precise and careful with electronics bordering on paranoia!

Mine should be coming in the next week or so. Excited to pair it with the DSDAC1.0 Deluxe and Silver Fox for a full Cen.Grand stack. I'll grab some pics and very initial impressions once I get it set up.

Also going to upgrade my Deluxe DAC by adding the new POW interface card, in order to take full advantage of the GLD. Very curious to see/hear how that compares to traditional connection methods.

To upgrade with POW connection do we need to send back the DAC to Cen Grand?
