ok recently i was about to buy an ipod 20gb 5th editon. now im not so sure if i want to do that because i have 1000s of cds i feel wont be used anymore. so what is the best portable cd/mp3 player with good skip protection. i will be using it either at home or outside running. ive had cheap old cd players that once i starting jogin/running it just stop playing. price im lookin for is under 250$ prefer under 200 but after taxes and everything gets higher. do i wanna get the sony or the imp550 or imp900 or do i wanna get something else? also i wanna get high end head phones. would that be e5? or something different? or head phones that fit over my ears? the music i listen to is rap, rnb, and funk music 90% of the time so i need something awesome that suits well with that sort of music.

Rap As in Westcoast Gfunk
RNB As in Teddy Riley Blackstreet early to mid 90s type stuff
Funk like early 80s Gap Band, Teena Marie, Zapp & Roger Etc.

Compfort isnt that big of an issue i can ajust to thing pretty easily.
