Well we now have been introduced to the Rega Apollo. It sounds like a damn nice redbook player. However theres the Cayin SCD 50T SACD player. Hummmmmm! Which one to buy to go with my Denon 2910 and E5?
It is available from NYSound.com for under $1100. Here is a review: http://www.vasaudio.com/reviews.htm
It features two large "toroid double independent power transformers", which serve for digital and simulated circuit respectively. It's got a switchable solid state or tube "output" with tube rectification for the tube section. Also has a Sony KHM-280AAA transport third generation. Burr Brown/Texas Instruments
DAC PCM1738 24 bit, and its sampling ratio is 192 KHz and four 627 op amps. The front panel features a high tech readout, under glass, in the front and a heavy mill thick face plate. See internal pictures in the review. And yes you will have to deal with the 220 volt issue with a mod or a wallwart transformer converter.
