The other day I dropped my headphones (DT 770) from my desk, and since the cable doesn't extend to the ground, they abruptly stopped in mid-air.  Ever since then, the wire that goes into the headphones has been feeling loose and can slide up and down the opening canal a few millimeters.  I hope I'm being descriptive enough. The headphones are recabled, by the way.  Am I just being paranoid, or is the cable a few falls away from coming out?

its not weird at all. I would be worried too. Happened to my GF once because she is not as careful as I with headphones. No wires every got loose though. Who did you recabling? If you know how to get in it just open them up and check it out. If not then I would not worry too much unless you start to hear issues with the audio. If this happens then something is up. Then you may have to send/take them somewhere to have them looked at. sorry this happened to you,
