Cat-Fi

I have ended up with three cats.
The other day I came home to find a dead Blue Tit by my chair; a gift.
I think I know which one of them was responsible.
Nature 'red in tooth and claw'.
I love my cats but I wish that Blue Tit was still alive!
If you let them out they will kill birds every day of the week, just for fun, as they practice their hunting skills. It is their nature.

Mine go crazy every day at the birds on our deck. They spend hours every day getting worked up about visitors. Everything smaller than crows and seagulls drop by every day for cracked corn (It is what we feed to the local ducks at the pond).

Oh I know they'll kill.
I wouldn't stop them going out though.
If only one of them was a dozy as the other two...
I'm not complaining, just musing on the nature of nature.

I think we had neighbors put a bird feeder on a table in their garden. How did we know? Bird fatalities went up suddenly. Just counting cases that we had evidence of "look what I did and here's a present!", the highest count was seven in one day. It was a feeder alright, a CAT feeder!

That is beyond stupid.
I put some food in trays on our deck, but we live in a 6th floor apt. Their only foes are our cats, who never get out.

But they are glued to the doors and windows wishing they could attack. The jaws start clicking, the tail is whipping fast and the rear end is ready to attack. Our cats are rescued barn cats so I am sure that they killed many birds in their first two years.

I had my wife's cat with me all day today until suppertime (pic attached). My cat is so pissed off that he is staying in another room and will not talk to me.
