Cartridges-Ortofon or Van Den Hul?

I'm currently using an Ortofon MC30 Supreme but I've heard some great things about VDH cartridges,I was particularly looking at the MC1 which is a similar price (£699) to the Ortofon in the UK.

Has anyone had any experience of this or other VDH carts?

They are said to have great soundstage.
