Does anyone have some good suggestions of sites to go to for forums on car audio?

I have a '97 Mustang Cobra with the stock Bose midrange & tweeter speakers. They are so very HARSH throughout their entire range that it's unbearable to listen to for more than a few minutes at a volume anything above background noise levels.

Looking for something to smooth out the midranges & highs. Might try just replacing the tweeters up front first to see what effect it would have.

Suggestions and comments are welcome!

Thanks,
-Jason

I assume you are using all stock bose equipment. If that is the case, you probably cannot replace individual components. Bose systems are very proprietary and they don't really allow you to swap out individual parts. I don't remember the numbers exactly, but bose speakers have a very low impedence (something like 1/3 ohm). Most after-market speakers are 4 ohms, so they wouldn't work well with the bose amps. For most people who have bose systems, they generally have to replace the whole system.
