Car Cassette Adapters

Well, they should be compatible as long as you have:

a) A cassette player in your car

and

B) A portable with a normal headphone or line out. If the player uses a 2.5 mini, or some sort of exotic jack like those for remote controls, then you connect it to the remote or just get an adapter. It should work then.

As for how they work, I'll think I let someone else answer that for the moment.

is the sound quality of cassette adaptors w/cd better than cassettes? Also, I'm interested in upgrading my car sound system. What are some systems that come with a direct line in so I don't have to mess with fm transmittors or cassette adaptors?

The better way is to check a catalog and look for players with line ins. I would expect them to get at least a better communitacion with the player, since you have a physical connection between them and the car player using a cable.

And Happy New Year!
