Hi,

I am new to this community and to the audiophile world so, please bear with my limited knowledge of this topic. I recently aquired a used fiio E7 DAC/ portable AMP and a pair of sennheiser hd 280 pro. I tried to connect from the fiio E7 to my laptop with mni USB to USB but, was unable to find the device on my computer. I looked into it a bit and it seems I may need to download specific drivers for my computer to recognize the device (I have Windows 10). I also, tried connecting my iphone 6 to the DAC with (lightning to USB (CCK) -> USB to mini USB -> fiio E7 DAC) but, initially received a pop-up saying the device was not supported and now the phone doesn't recognize anything as being connected.

If anyone could provide feedback as to steps I can take to use the fiio E7 as a DAC with my laptop and iphone, it would be much appreciated.

thank you.

Looks like you have to try and find the USB driver that pops up when the device is plugged in and powered up, then uninstall it, then install the drivers fresh.
