Hi all,

while walking in a mall one day I caught a snippet of a song which has been stuck in my head ever since. I'm almost desperate to get it so I can have a good listen to it, problem is I don't know what the song name is. Can the good people here pls help!!! I've tried Google, Yahoo, Altavista to no avail which leds me to suspect that perhaps I've misheard some lyrics.

Anyway, it goes "You skipped around & I stumbled, trying to find my way"
The singer is male I think.

OR it could be "You skipped a line & I stumbled, trying to find my way."

No idea what the song is, but couldn't you just go back to the store where it was played and ask what it was, or at least what CDs they had been playing recently?

YES that's the irritating thing. IT'S so darn familar!!!

Sigh, if the gurus here can't tell the song, I'm doomed. Everyone I asked says it's familar but can't recall the song title.
I don't remember any background instrument, it's more of the male's vocal which grabbed hold of me.

it's slow

no distinct instrument that I remember.

Genre: Jazz/Slow dance?

Who: I don't know. If i have just I clue of the singer, I'll go through all the discography to find it!
