Hey everyone. So I've made a topic and theses 2 headphones are the conclusion on it. I want something to replace my CAL! mainly for its bad comfort and I can't really decide on which one of these to choose. I listen to a lot of gaming soundtracks, watch movies and play games mainly non competively. Home use. not portable. have Xonard Dg.

Pros and cons of each one, I've gathered from many reviews. Now, I know these are COMPLETLY different headphones. I just want a subjective opinion of You guys who used one or the other. Maybe I can then decide on something.

Brainwavz HM5
+Fantastic memory foam.. + another pair spare ! (I am a sucker for memory foam)
+Love the looks (tho my buddy says they look like hamburgers when I've showed him the pics)
+Seems sturdy
+nice isolation
+Great soundstage, even tho its closed headphone
+some say it have audipphille grade sound with very neutral response but not lacking warmer tone and bass. And very clear and detailed
+deatachable cord... and 2 of those !
-afraid they might be too flat and lack bass at all. Some say it have great warm punchy bass and other completly different

Beyerdynamics
+build quality
+detachable cord
+bass customization
+looks
-besides bass, there is not much good?
-no memory foam pads

edit: nvm. bought HM5. Sorry for unnecessary topic

The HM5 do have clear sound.
but really lack bass and I find their grip on the headphone a little too much.

I think the Takstar Pro 80s are a better buy
