Hi Guys,
 
At home i currently own a set of HD600s powered by the MKV for EDM production mainly. My problem is i want something a bit more portable for when i am travelling or away etc. The 600s are a bit big to carry around, do not have a carry case and being open would also be a problem if i want to do anything on a plane etc. Im not expecting anything amazingly accurate or expecting to be able to mix on them but wondering if there is anything out there what might suit my needs and give out a good sound and as accurate as is possible being portable i suppose. I use a mac pro and the Apogee one when traveling to drive them if that helps. Did look at the AKG 450s but not sure if these would be suitable or what i need.
 
Any advice and ideas appreciated guys

If you're working in places with high ambient noise (airplanes), you should consider going with IEMs. You'll get much better isolation (thus, lower noise floor) than is attainable with external cans.
