cans for classical

I will say that the mad dogs do sound better to me when a touch louder. I'm a casual headphone listener - so I'm very used to hearing music through speakers (unless I'm working out - then it's not classical). Thanks.

For IEMs in the low-to-mid price range, I'd highly recommend getting the Avara AV2 ($200). (https://www.head-fi.org/threads/avara-custom-universal-iem-thread.867295/). It has a neutral, balanced sound signature, and a pretty good realistic timbre. Suitable for acoustic instrument sounds such as: vocals, piano, strings, etc. Although the soundstage is not very wide, it's a good all-rounder IEM for many musical genres. You can get it in universal, or custom form. And design the colour, shell, and faceplate by yourself.

Thanks for the suggestion. They look like very high quality IEMs. The challenge of headphones (for me, at least) is finding a way to listen without buying. I guess that's why the used forum is so active...
