Hi, I just wondering if its any cheaper to buy headphones, amp, cable, source(including DAC) or anything related(e.g headphone stand/holder) in Hongkong?
cause I got a fren who is going to HK for one month in about a week from now.

any idea?
note: I'm at Perth - Australia. things are pretty expensive in here and the choice is limited.

Hong Kong has a wide selection of consumer electronics at reasonable prices. However, I believe it would be difficult to find many headphone amps as well as higher end equipment. You may be better off ordering from Head-Fi sponsors.

The range of headphones here is pretty good. There are shops with the full Audio Technica range (which is where I got my open 500s).

We will have the Open Headphone Gathering on July 2nd and 3rd, 12pm -8pm, in 5/F Elizabeth House,Gloucester Road, Causeway Bay.

You may ask your friend to come there and try the headphones too.
