Iv'e followed the directions exactly, putting the bmp. image with the same name of the album in the album folder. I entered the wps tags in the wps files and the image still doesn't show up when the track is playing. What am I doing wrong?

What source device are you using?

On my 1G Nano and 5G Classic I just put a 160x160 .BMP image in the folder with the name "cover.bmp" and Rockbox picks it up perfectly. I don't do any tagging.

Yea I just cover.bmp it works great! Try naming it that and see if it works, also are you sure the image is actually bmp in format and not name only. You can not just change the .xxx to .bmp fyi.

Can you check how big is the BMP. I believe album art can only be used up to a particular size. Try right-click on your Windows Explorer and check properties. The LENGTH pixels by WIDTH Pixels should be shown there. Also how big is the file in mega/kilo bytes?

Yup that size should be ok. My guess the bmp is already in the same directory as the song.

Just a try though have you run "Update Now" on the Settings > Database from the Menu. I know it's usually for updating song list but if it does build up a database the pic link might also be a fieild. it's a wild guess though. I will try to play with mine.

Works fine on mine as described above.

I think there's something in correct about the format your using or how you're converting the files to .BMP.

I'm converting it by opening the jpeg in photoshop and saving it as a bmp. It is a bmp because when I look at the properties of the image it says bmp file. Could it be that I entered the tags in the wps files incorrectly?
