After spending 30+ minutes trying to place my new SoundBlaster Z into the PCI-e x16 slot, I cannot make the sound card fit into the slot. It seems that the slot and card itself are slightly misaligned with each other.
 
My case is a Thor v2 black version and my MB is an Asus Z87-plus.
 
This is supposed to be simple procedure but I am not sure what I am doing right now. I am really frustrated right now.
 
Any advice?

I finally was able to place in properly after numerous attempts in placing it in properly. My computer recognized it and it is installed. My motor skills are just absolutely horrid.
