I'm not questioning your motives or your graciousness, I'm just a bit annoyed at how many people are trying to make it about them and not about the cool social event that this was intended to be.

I guess CanJam NYC might try other venues, like CanJam SoCal is doing. Are NYC people this hostile to those who don’t have money? All I know is that I remember how my parents were treated financially and racially by New Yorkers in the 80s and keep that sentiment to this thread and beyond.

I don't know where this is coming from, but this isn't about money. OP is paying for the meal, it's an optional event, time is preferable for most working class people. We as New Yorkers don't have a political or financial gain in any of this, it's just a gathering for like minded hobbyists.

For those of us who are going to John's of Bleeker Street after the show on Saturday, let's meet by the glass railing right across from the showroom main doors at 6:15PM so we can head down together. If you prefer going there on your own, we'll see you down there at 7. It's about a 15 minute train ride on the 1, from 50th and Broadway to Christopher Street station, followed by a 3 minute walk. That's gotta be some kind of land speed record, Port Authority is 15 mins from John's by subway, if you can make it there on foot that fast, Barry Allen has nothing on you.
