I live pretty far--Denton--but my buddy and I are gonna stay in a hotel nearby and go the weekend. Same, first, very excited!

It’s about an hour. I try to avoid going to the hellhole that is Dallas if it can be helped.

A few things that are open early around the hotel and are recommended (I'm from the area) are:

• The Original Pancake House
• Snooze, an AM eatery
• Ida Claire (really great but only opens at 9am so potentially too late)

This is just off the top of my head, so please feel free to throw out suggestions if anyone has any.

Not that you asked but, Hard Eight in The Colony is pretty good as well if Cattleack can't accommodate or runs out of food for the day. Personally, I lived in Carrollton, worked in Addison and never went to Cattleack... Too many options that were always great. But do enjoy, CanJam Dallas should be a blast!

Any canjam regulars know roughly when they do drawings for the giveaways? Are they all sunday?
