im looking for a pair of canalphones to replace my sony ones

any recommendations? ive been looking at some of the shure and etymotic ones but not sure which to choose

these will be used witn a iPod listening to just about every type of music available apart from hip hop and dance

and i have about £50 to spend but that can stretch a bit if needed

In that price range you don't have a lot of choices. Check out the Shure E2, it's a good all arounder in that range. If you listen to a lot of classical you may prefer the Etymotic ER6.

I second the e2c's. I was coming up from the sony's and the durablity sucked. So durablity was a big issue and I went with the e2c's. They're very well built and also have a 2 year warranty.

I suggest getting the soft flex sleeves u you buy the e2's cause frankly the plastic ones supplied arent that most comfortable, either that or just use the foams. the e2c is a very very nice earphone
